DREAM
A Mountain
Breaks the horizon.
Sunlight sparkles off a glacier.
I want to be there,
To fulfil a dream.
A long time ago
I saw,
I dreamed that I could conquer;
Conquer the mountain,
And conquer myself.
I climbed it twice.
The beauty was beyond
All my imagination
But I never reached
The Top.
If I ever do,
What will my next dream be?
THE WORLD BELOW
The World
Has fallen away below.
Slowly we have climbed
Above the clouds.
The World
Is far away,
Distant,
Cut off by that
Wall of clouds,
But we,
Are in Sunshine.
The World
Holds no beauty
Compared to this.
It is rugged,
Desolate,
Yet so majestic.
In the World
Below,
People believed
God lived here.
I know why.
