It has been a long fulfilling, yet challenging journey. The last few weeks have been emotionally draining. We have contacted several churches about sharing about our Kenya mission. The initial response has been very good, yet we are still waiting for official bookings. Everything seems to be in s-l-o-w motion, and there isn't much time left before December. At times, we have wondered if we will ever make it to Kenya.

During this dry period, God sent us to share at St. George United Baptist Church. The church was filled with enthusiasm, excitement, and lots of prayer. They had recently seen miracles happen to people in their community which were answers to their prayers. Throughout the service, several people prayed, wholeheartedly believing that that their specific prayers would be answered. We were moved by their faith in God's power. When they prayed for us, their faith made it easier for us to believe that God could get us to Kenya, even by December. After the service we were handed an envelope with a contribution. Written on it was: “The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.” [I Thessalonians 5:24] One morning at the church went a long way towards restoring our hope.

We have all the funds necessary to get us to Kenya. We have about 45% of our monthly support pledged to maintain us while we are in Kenya. If you plan to give, please inform AIM so that they can record your pledge. Funds can be sent through AIM or CBM, however AIM is keeping track of pledges and needs to know your intentions. Contributions can either start now, or when we leave.
